  • What kind of music will be played?
A variety of soft, relaxing music is available. If you don’t like what has been selected feel free to request a different type or even provide your favorite.
  • Do I have to talk during the session?
In most sessions you choose how much talking is done. If you prefer silence for relaxation, only necessary words will be spoken. If you prefer to talk about your treatment simply say so. Neuromuscular treatments require some client feedback.
  • Can I request more or less pressure?
Yes! Appropriate pressure is used for varying massage techniques with an intention to cause no more than mild to moderate discomfort. Your feedback is important to ensure you receive the type of pressure you prefer.
  • Must I be completely undressed?
Most massage sessions are performed with the client unclothed and appropriately covered by sheets or towels. It is entirely up to you what you want to wear; you should undress to your level of comfort. The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table and cover yourself with clean sheets or towels.
  • Will I be covered during the session?
You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked with be exposed.
  • Will I have marks on my body after cupping?
Traci is a Certified Massage Cupping Practitioner through ACE Massage Cupping which is quite different than traditional Chinese Cupping. The marks commonly left from Chinese cupping treatments are usually not seen in Massage Cupping Therapy, although sometimes a discoloration called a “cup kiss” can appear. This is NOT a bruise but rather an indication that there was a release of stagnation of body fluid and toxins in the area. Cup kisses typically dissipate in a few days. Traci uses a Massage Cupping machine and will keep the pressure low enough to insure no marks are left on the face and any other areas a client may voice concern about.
